Kyla is a freelance editorial and documentary photographer based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her regular clients include the Vancouver Art Gallery, Newad, Caje Creative, and Nightlife Media as well as numerous private clients.
Kyla graduated from Langara College's technical photo-imaging program in 2007. After graduation she worked with editorial and documentary photographers in New York City and around British Columbia.
In October 2007 she was selected from a large number of applicants to work as a full time research photographer at the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia where she further honed her technical knowledge with the industry's latest Macintosh computers and medium-format photographic equipment. She was one of the few photographers that worked closely with the Museum of Anthropology's curatorial staff for their recent publication titled: The Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia.
She continues to work freelance for UBC, and is always looking for more editorial, documentary and environmental photography work in British Columbia as well as around the world.
